Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a pleasure to invite you to the 5th FEBS Advanced Lecture Course on Matrix Pathobiology, Signaling and Molecular Targets (5th FEBS-MPST 2015), which follows the previous successful FEBS-MPST 2013, 2011, 2009 and 2007 meetings.

Matrix Biology is a fast growing field with significant impact in all areas of Biosciences. The 6-days FEBS-MPST 2015 will offer oral sessions with invited plenary lectures, talks by confirmed speakers, general lectures and tutorials, selected talks related to the topics of the presented abstracts, poster presentations, panel discussions and speakers' corner/meet the expert. These sessions will address both basic and applied science topics that appeal to the range of participants working in the fields of Matrix Biology, Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Glycobiology, Structural Biology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology and Medicine.

The organizing committee has put together an outstanding group of internationally recognized experts as invited speakers. Open slots for talks will include selected short talks and confirmed registered speakers as well. The lectures and tutorials will provide you with an update of important new knowledge covering key areas of the field. Young travel fellowships and young investigators awards will also be available upon application/selection procedure for graduates and fellows up to 5-years after their PhD.

The most important goal of the FEBS-MPST 2015 meeting is to bring together scientists from life sciences on an important and rapidly developing scientific field and to create the environment for a superb science, warm collegiality, an all-around rewarding experience and social events during this special time of year.

posticon ISMB International Travel grants

The ISMB establish two International travel grants of € 500 each for attending the the course.

The travel grants are for PhD students and postdocs up to 5 years post PhD. 

Requirements: These awards are for international travel only. The awardees are members of the ISMB and have not recently received a travel grant funded by ISMB. 

Applications for travel grants should include an abstract submitted to the conference and a brief CV and one letter of recommendation - stating clearly their application for ISMB International Travel grants.

 

Deadline for International Travel Awards application: May 4th, 2015

posticon Young Investigator Awards

All abstracts with graduate students or postdoctoral fellows as first authors that not received a YTF are subject to scientific evaluation by selected members. The best 3 abstracts will receive the "FEBS-MPST2015 Young Investigator Award" at the end of the course. Each award will be financed with 200€. To be eligible for this award, individuals should also apply with an abstract, a curriculum vitae (one page) and one letter of recommendation. The candidates should include with the application their full address, phone and fax numbers, their e-mail address and an I.D. photo.

The young investigator awards are sponsored by Pharmaceutical firms,lab suppliers, and Publishers.
